BASFORD United’s unbeaten run came to an end after a defeat at home to Hitchin Town.
Diogo Freitas Gouveia curled home the opener with the last kick of the first half, before Ashley Hay rounded off the win with a quarter of an hour remaining.
United weren’t without their chances, however, and, arguably, dominated the opening 45 minutes without really testing Charlie Horlock in the away goal.
