KYLE Tooze’s second-half spot-kick proved decisive, as Yate Town edged past the Met with a narrow win at Imber Court.
It was a close affair as the game got underway with both sides finding themselves unable to create a clear sight towards the goal in the early stages.
The Met had Liam Beach to thank for ensuring the scoreline remained even towards the end of the first period, the shot-stopper twice denying the visitors who, on both occasions, charged down on goal only to be halted by the gloves of the Met number one.
