HITCHIN achieved their first win in four games and kept a clean sheet as a bonus in a game they controlled until fairly late in the second half.
An uninspiring start saw few chances, but the more direct play came from Hitchin with efforts from Layne Eadie and Brad Bell, and Diogo Freitas-Gouveia had a chance punched away by Ollie Taylor.
