MERTHYR made a storming start to this match and ran out comfortable winners over struggling Hartley Wintney.
The Martyrs wasted no time in taking a grip of the match and took the lead after five minutes when a break down the right saw Kieran Evans play in Frazer Thomas, who fired home from a tight angle.
Things got better for Merthyr just four minutes later when a high cross into the area found its way to Evans, whose well-struck shot took a deflection and found the net.
