Clinical Liddle at the double

A FIRST league win of 2023 brought smiles at the SkyEx to follow a midweek County Cup victory.
United took the lead in the 23rd minute when right back Paul Field hit a long ball for Adam Liddle to run on to. He skipped away from the chasing defenders and touched the ball past the onrushing Adam North in the visitors’ goal.
Two minutes later and it was 2-0 with Liddle turning provider. Again it was a ball from wide right, this time Liddle chesting an assist into the path of Moses Emmanuel who slotted home.
