BEDFORD’S winless start to 2023 continued after succumbing to Needham Market with the only goal of the game coming just before the hour mark.
Never a classic match, Bedford had the best of the possession in the first 45 minutes, nearly taking the lead within four minutes, but Rene Howe’s effort hit the bar.
A penalty claim a few minutes later was dismissed by the referee, before the visitors cried foul at the other end to the same indifference from the man in the middle.
