MET POLICE continued their push for the play-offs with a comfortable win at Gosport in front of over 670 fans.
Under grey skies it was the Met who started the better and saw an opportunity when Herson Rodrigues-Alves brushed the side netting following a pacey run down the left; Gosport seeing a low cross narrowly flicked wide by Dan Wooden’s left boot after 16 minutes.
A cagey start continued with the visitors pushing for the opener as Jasper Mather headed over the bar from six yards out.
