BASFORD United returned to winning ways with a deserved victory over St Ives Town.
Gregg Smith popped up with the winner 18 minutes from time, after a goalless draw had looked inevitable.
Matt Thornhill earlier missed a penalty, but United held on to secure maximum points, their first in a month.
The first half was largely uneventful with only a few half-chances of note from either side.
Ben Starkie’s drive and run saw a decent attempt blocked, before Thornhill fired a shot well over.
