THE hosts tipped Rushden nearer to relegation when Ryan Wollacott headed past Diamonds keeper Dean Snedker to end the visiting captain’s one-man resistance seven minutes from time.
Rushden’s Jim Burnside and Andy Kanga had sight of goal in the opening exchanges – with the former having an effort ruled out after a blatant tug on Lewis Hudson – but it was Redditch who went closest in the 29th minute.
