O’Brien saves day as Bards triumph

STRATFORD claimed a vital victory over relegation rivals Alvechurch to climb out of the drop zone.
Goals from Callum Ebanks and Kyle Bennett wrapped up the points, but they also had goalkeeper Liam O’Brien to thank for pulling off two fine saves, including a first-half penalty.
Ebanks directed an early header just wide of the post, but made amends by sweeping in the opener after nine minutes after Paul Mc- Cone had helped on Lewis Ison’s long throw.
