HITCHIN TOWN achieved their first league win in ten outings against a curiously subdued Stratford side who had recently hit good form.
It seemed a fixture that might well contain a number of goals, which proved not to be the case.
Hitchin might have had an early lead, but Josh Allen’s air shot reduced the rise in temperature.
The hosts were generally positive, but aerial combat dominated when conditions suited playing it along the floor.
