ROYSTON cruised to victory as they recorded their first win in eight games.
The result was never in doubt from the start as Royston took a sixthminute lead from the penalty spot.
Matt Bateman won the spot kick as he was brought down by Mikel Brown after he had latched onto a long ball forward. It was Bateman who converted the penalty, shooting low into the corner, beyond the dive of Oliver Taylor.
