■ THIS game started in explosive fashion with Chertsey emerging from the opening ten minutes with a distinct advantage - but one that was not exploited to the full.
Visitors Uxbridge forced an early lead with a leftwing raid that was finished off by Prince Ogunmekan. Chertsey recovered a minute later with Warne Ridgley steering the ball home, and that seventh-minute moment was followed up four minutes later when Lewis Pegg was shown red for the visitors. Town should have gone on to dominate but struggled against the determined ten men of Uxbridge.
