HENDON full-back Sam Adenola grabbed his first goal for the club in second-half stoppage time to bring all three points against Dorchester Town.
The match mirrored the weather, dull and uninspiring in the first half, and deteriorating markedly after the break.
Both teams tried to play enterprising stuff, but their final ball was lacking almost every time.
Kai Brosnan and Joe White gave Adam Laaref the chance to give Hendon an eighth-minute lead, but he struck the foot of the near post.
