MERTHYR TOWN made it back-to-back home wins for the first time since August after an impressive victory over Hanwell Town.
The Martyrs have now won four games out of their last five to maintain a play-off place in the Southern League Premier South.
The deadlock was broken just before half-time as Gethyn Hill laid off Thomas Handley outside the box, hitting a brilliant strike into the bottom right corner.
