SWINDON SUPERMARINE continued their good recent run of form with a win against a Walton and Hersham team who played some pleasing passing football, but struggled to prise open a resolute Marine defence.
The early skirmishes were very much in the midfield. However, after 17 minutes Marine kept possession just outside their opponent’s penalty area, eventually knocking a ball between two defenders that set Dave Sims-Burgess in on goal. The Marine striker finished with aplomb.
