SHOLING put in a five-star performance to beat the Citizens with ease.
Sholing opened the scoring in the 16th minute when Marvin McLean’s deep cross found Brad Targett who headed the ball into Dan Mason to score.
Three minutes later, Targett had an effort cleared off the line. On the half hour the Boatmen’s skipper had to be replaced by Rob Flooks.
After 37 minutes Targett was on hand again to assist Charlie Davis’s corner to find Luka Chalwell who headed home to make it 2-0.
