MICHAEL ATKINSON’S second-half strike edged Basingstoke Town past Walton & Hersham to dent their play-off hopes.
Liam Ferdinand pounced on a mistake to put Basingstoke ahead, but halfway through the first period Trae Cook levelled proceedings.
Basingstoke, who sit 13th, managed to nick the victory through Atkinson and leave Walton & Hersham seven points off the play-offs.
