HANWELL overcame the handicap of manager Chris Moore’s touchline ban to earn a vital three points.
In fact, the Geordies made a dream start.
Within 19 seconds of the kick-off, Dan Fosu fired the home team ahead after Elliot Benyon and Jacob Bancroft had combined to set him up from goalkeeper Sam Beasant’s long free-kick. Didcot responded positively and Robbie Gallagher went close.
