THE home side reached a half century of points as they beat Hitchin Town, with the Hertfordshire side still not safe from the drop.
Leiston began the better side, passing the ball well in the early exchanges and creating chances. Jamar Loza went closest with a volley that went just over Charlie Horlock’s crossbar.
The hosts took the lead on 19 minutes when Adam Bailey-Dennis got to the ball first to poke home from close range from George Quantrell’s corner.
