IN a game in which the wind was a factor throughout, Winchester consolidated their position in the top half of the table with a 1-0 win against Hungerford whose outside chance of reaching the play-offs was reduced even further.
The all-important goal came midway through the second half when Ollie Griggs converted a cross from IK Hill. It was Griggs’s first league goal of the season.
In a goalless first half both teams had chances to score.
