BASINGSTOKE confirmed safety this season with a well-earned victory over Dorchester, wrapped up by a remarkable goal from Paul Hodges.
The Magpies had the better of a high-tempo first half, Luke Pardoe finding Simon Grant in the way before Shaquille Gwengwe’s attempt at the rebound was blocked on the line by Billy Upton.
Grant was also called upon to make another excellent save, getting down to tip Olaf Koszela’s shot around a post.
