ST IVES Town claimed their highest ever finish at Step 3 – and ended the season as the leading goal scorers in the division with 87 goals – following this entertaining finale.
All the goals came in the second half after Ives had already rattled the woodwork twice and had two efforts ruled out. Captain Michael Richens pounced on a poor punch from Church keeper Ronnie Hollingshead to put them in front in 72nd minute before leading scorer Jonny Edwards doubled the advantage only 40 seconds later when he timed his run to latch on...
