LOWESTOFT Town’s hopes of starting their second spell in the Southern League Premier Central ended in defeat.
The Trawlerboys made a nervous start with Redditch looking the better side in the first half and it took an excellent save from Luke Holt to thwart Alex Cameron when clear of the home defence in the 13th minute.
However the keeper was at fault when the Reds took the lead a couple of minutes later.
He failed to hold a free kick from Jordan Cranston and Cameron netted the rebound from close range.
