VISITORS Frome Town enjoyed the first 20 minutes at soggy Alwyns Lane, but only had corner kicks to show for their efforts. However, they took the lead after 25 minutes when Marcus Day cut in on the right to fire in low past goalkeeper Ollie Davies.
Chertsey responded with Gianluca Botti looking sharp. He quickly fired in two shots from outside the box, but each were saved.
The Chertsey equaliser came after 37 minutes when Jack Mazzone burst through but was pushed in the back. The referee pondered but then pointed to the spot.
