HAVANT & Waterlooville’s first league defeat of the campaign was a sobering one as an on-song Sholing turned in their best display to date.
It might have been a different story had Harvey Bradbury, teed up by Ryan Seager, not narrowly missed the target on nine minutes with goalkeeper Ross Worner out of position.
However, the Boatmen did not look back from the moment Brad Targett connected with a corner to put them in front on 24 minutes.
