TIVERTON were boosted in the battle to move out of the relegation zone with a gritty, battling win at a stormy Basingstoke.
The home side started well. Robbie Gallagher was a thorn in Tiverton’s side and set pieces from Brody Peart and Sam Deadfield caused problems.
But it was the Yellows who opened the scoring in a manner fitting of a scrappy, stop-start first half when a long throw was flicked on through the six-yard box and bundled in at close range by skipper Matt Britton after twenty minutes.
