Plymouth Parkway had to withstand plenty of pressure to secure the points.
Havant & Waterlooville were quick out of the blocks with Leon Maloney racing away inside five minutes only to be denied by Ewan Griffiths in the Parkway goal.
Tom Dean then went close for the hosts as Brendan Wilson cleared off the line. Shortly after, Parkway took the lead through Mitch Beardmore, who latched on to a clearance with the ball eventually finding the net.
