AFC Sudbury and Barwell scored a penalty apiece as they played out a draw at the MEL Group Stadium.
The game started slowly but after half an hour the hosts got a penalty when Liam Pearce was fouled inside the penalty box.
Ollie Peters put his penalty to the left and the goalkeeper dived the wrong way as Sudbury took the lead.
Marcel Lewis nearly opened his account for the home side, but his curling effort went just over the crossbar.
