REAL Bedford marked their first-ever game at Step 3 with a win, as they defeated Spalding United at home thanks to a brace from Joey Evans.
The Pirates didn’t have it all their own way as they went 1-0 down to the Lincolnshire side after just 30 minutes of play as Jack Roberts fired the Tulips ahead after a superb ball from Connor Johnson from off the right.
It was a goal that was with the run of play as Spalding had already had two big chances to score, but put both of their chances wide of the goal.
