A TIGHT but entertaining encounter finished with honours even as Banbury were held at home to Leiston.
It was Leiston who started on the front foot, the lively Joao Rangel forcing Jack Harding into an early save after two minutes.
A couple of minutes later Jack Manly sent another effort over as the visitors looked to react to Tuesday’s defeat at Kettering.
And after 19 minutes they took the lead, hitting Banbury on the counter. Rangel got in on goal to calmly slot past Harding.
