THIS was a game of two halves at The Wyatt Homes on the first meeting between Wimborne Town and Uxbridge FC.
The two clubs, both formed in the 1870s, were meeting for the first time in the Dorset sunshine, and it was the hosts who started the better.
After a start of relatively few chances, it was Joe Smith who broke the deadlock. A lovely flowing move ended up with the Magpies new striker five yards out, with his mis-hit bobbling past the already committed goalkeeper.
