POOLE fell to their first home league defeat of the season with a below par performance.
And to rub salt into the wounds it was against Gosport, former club of joint managers Joe Lea and Pat Suraci.
Poole saw two goals disallowed in the first quarter of an hour, with Ik Hill heading in early on and then Shaquille Gwegwe slotting the ball in minutes later but both efforts were ruled offside.
Former Poole player Rafael Ramos tried a long range effort to beat Adam Parkes but the keeper saved with his head.
