BARDS’ WIN COMES AT A HEAVY COST AFTER INJURY

A LEWIS ISON bullet header and a well-worked Jack Storer effort either side of half-time were enough to hand Stratford Town victory over visitors Leiston.
But it came at a price with Storer ending up in hospital following a challenge midway through the second half which left the influential playmaker with a knee injury.
Stratford had the better of the opening half and took the lead six minutes before the interval when Ison rose to crash a header past visiting keeper Billy Johnson from Fin Brennan’s corner.
