STANDING DOWN: Mickleover chairman Don Amott

AFTER more than a decade at the helm, Don Amott has announced he will step down as chairman of Mickleover FC at the end of this season.
Turning 77 this year, Amott plans to spend more time with his wife Mary and the family.
Amott took over as chairman in October 2015 with his decade of leadership celebrated in a statement released by the club.
In it, they praised him for overseeing a remarkable transformation both on and off the pitch, laying “strong foundations to build on over the next 10 years”.
