A GOAL in each half from Owen James and Kory Roberts ended Stratford’s eight-match winless run and kept Royston rooted to the foot of the table.
And yet it could have been so different had Archie Locke hit the target inside the opening ten minutes when he was left unmarked.
The Bards opened the scoring in the 23rd minute when James tucked the loose ball over the line after Charlie Wragg’s effort had hit the crossbar.
