SPALDING saw their slim title hopes extinguished at the Sir Halley Stewart Field as in-form Stratford produced a clinical display to secure a 3-1 victory, confirming Harborough as champions and leaving the Tulips to focus on a play-off campaign ahead.
The hosts began brightly and nearly took an early lead when Bartosz Cybulski struck the post inside five minutes. Although it was Town who took the lead against the run of play as Lewis Ison curled a superb free-kick into the top corner, giving Daniel Wilks in the home goal no chance. ...
