TWO goals from Archie Ferris secured Frome Town a hard-fought win over Wimborne Town at the Special Effect Stadium.
The Magpies struggled to deal with Ferris throughout the afternoon, with the striker finding the net in either half to earn Danny Greaves’ side all three points on the opening day of the season.
Despite the defeat, the visitors started brightly, with Lewis Williams trying his luck from range early on. His effort sailed just wide of Kyle Phillips’ near post.
