HEYBRIDGE were made to fight all the way by a spirited Romford second half performance and a superb display by visiting keeper Harry Aldridge.
On the face of it, there was only one winner as with Romford rock bottom of the table and Heybridge third having already secured a playoff place.
But even as Elliott Ronto got Swifts ahead with a cool far post finish, Romford showed their spirit to offer stubborn resistance.
Reece Hewitt got Romford back level with a well-taken and Heybridge were frustrated by Aldridge’s string of impressive saves.
