HASTINGS had to settle for a point after being held at home by Hythe Town.
Despite dominating possession United failed to create many clear-cut chances, although the visitors goal did lead a charmed life at times.
Jack Tucker saw a decent effort saved by Hythe keeper George Kamurasi midway through the first half, but Hythe took the lead on 25 minutes.
A long ball down the left found Sid Sollis who cut in and fired home.
Bradley Stevenson hit the far upright for Hastings and then tested Kamurasi from distance.
