MILDENHALL Town are on the cusp of relegation after Frankie Merrifield’s injury-time double condemned them to a heart-breaking 3-2 home defeat to Canvey Island.
Goals from Thomas Debenham and Matthew Hayden either side of the break had put the hosts 2-1 up heading into the closing stages, with Ryan Melaugh making it 1-1 just the interval to change the complexion of the teamtalk.
