SMITH SAVES ROCKS’ DAY AFTER LEIGH OWN GOAL

BOGNOR recorded their tenth win in eleven home games when Dan Smith denied Merstham in the 89th-minute, after the Rocks’ Tommy Leigh had netted at both ends.
The Moatsiders thought they had snatched a point with an 81st-minute equalizer but Smith’s header from Bradley Lethbridge’s deep cross sealed the Rocks’ eighth win on the trot.
The Smith/Lethbridge combo nearly worked on seven minutes.
