REECE Prestedge scored the only goal of the game as Margate produced a smash-and-grab victory to take home all three points in Essex.
The hosts nearly made the perfect start, but Joseph Tupper was able to tip Bowers captain Ken- zer Lee’s header around the post before then denying Jamie Dicks.
A defensive mix up between Lee and Bowers debutant Adetayo Osifu- wa nearly gifted Margate an opener, but Elliott Reeves pushed his shot wide as both sides kept up a frantic opening pace.
