PIP BOYLAND was the hero as Brightlingsea eked out a victory in this basement battle with rock-bottom Corinthian Casuals.
The assistant manager and leftback headed home on 70 minutes to give Kem Izzet his first win as R’s boss.
It was Brightlingsea’s first win since the reverse fixture between the sides back on August 31.
The precious win and other results leave Izzet’s men one place above the drop zone.
