■ HONOURS were even at Parkside as third-placed Grays Athletic draw with fifth-placed Coggeshall in a tight game that saw both defences on top.
Grays made the better start with Joao Carlos and George Purcell featuring prominently. Grays’ passing game was easy on the eye while Coggeshall found long balls the way to go.
The Seedmen did eventually settle and finished the half strongly, and could have gone in front when Jack Simmons slid an effort wide of the far post.
