FRANKIE MERRIFIELD’S late winner at Margate pushed East Thurrock to within three points of the play-off places.
Merrifield struck on 77 minutes, sliding the ball home after Gate failed to clear a corner. The hosts started brightly, Kadell Daniel wriggling into the box and shooting just wide on two minutes.
