Witham opened their season with a good away win.
Ben Search opened the scoring after 32 minutes, but Rovers pulled level through Mitchell Kilby.
Witham again took the leader with a scissor kick from Chinedu Osadebe just before the stroke of half-time.
The visitors extended their lead in the 58th minute when Chinedu Osadebe got his second.
The match changed in Rovers’ favour after 72 minutes when Luke Ige got given his marching orders from an off-the-ball incident.
