BASILDON United secured their first home league win of the season on a vile afternoon as the edge of Storm Arwen raged around South Essex.
Romford’s cause was not helped by the 20th-minute red card dished out to midfielder Bleron Ademi for a challenge that looked innocuous enough, but which had Scott Rudd reaching for his card before his whistle.
