■ BURY claimed the honours in this New Year’s Day derby, scoring four first-half goals to run out winners in front of a healthy attendance of 712.
Two goals in two minutes set the visitors on their way, Max Maughn lobbing Alfie Stronge to open the scoring after 24 minutes, with Jake Chambers-Shaw firing home Bury’s second a minute later.
Ross Crane volleyed home Bury’s third after 40 minutes, with Cemal Ramadan adding the fourth two minutes later with a longrange lob.
