Bury had the better of the early exchanges with Jake Chambers-Shaw looking dangerous. His shot in the 27th minute bringing a brilliant save from Matt Cafer, but he was injured soon after.
Coggeshall won a corner in the 43rd minute, taken by Callum Harrison which was headed in by Kudos Oyenuga.
